This building dates to 1318 and 1499. The earlier of the two main phases is a jettied two-bay range at right angles to the road dating to 1318-50, to which a wider and longer bay was added at the rear in 1500. The first range has a cranked central tiebeam, originally with arch-braces and a crown post (removed). Most of the original rafters are re-used in the reconstructed roof.
